As part of these extensive measures, manufacturing operations will gradually be relocated to other sites within the JOEST group, particularly to MOGENSEN sites in Sweden and Spain, as well as to Dülmen. Identical machines have already been manufactured at the Swedish and Spanish locations for many years. MOGENSEN currently employs around 140 people across Germany, Sweden and Spain.
As part of the realignment, the plan is to sell the building at the Wedel site in the medium term, but to remain at the site with the already established sales company Mogensen Solutions GmbH & Co. KG.
This decision comes in response to the persistently challenging economic conditions at the Wedel location and is a necessary step to secure the company’s long-term viability and financial stability, thereby preventing a potential insolvency. The affected employees were informed of the upcoming changes in July.
Special thanks go to those who have contributed to MOGENSEN’s success over the years with their experience, dedication, and loyalty and are now unfortunately affected by this measure.
Despite these changes, the team in Wedel remains a key point of contact for all customers. Sales for new machines, spare parts and services, as well as the company’s in-house Test Center, will continue to be available for all inquiries and custom solutions.
